Casa Luna is a peaceful, stylish retreat in the heart of Palmilla, offering comfort, privacy, security and easy access to the best of San José del Cabo and the general Los Cabos area.

It's Our Home
...and Yours

Casa Luna is, first and foremost, our family home. It isn’t a “factory rental” stocked with the bare minimum of forks and towels. We live here part of the year, and our extended family visits from California—so the house is cared for, comfortable, and meant to be enjoyed. We hope you’ll treat it with the same warmth and respect, as if it were your own.

Coyo, our housekeeper, and Marlene, our property manager, are part of our extended family as well. We’ve all watched one another’s families grow up in and around Casa Luna, and they help ensure your stay is smooth and welcoming.

All furnishings are sourced locally, chosen with comfort and relaxation in mind. We’ve made the golf cart available for easy trips to the beach or around Palmilla, and the pool is kept warm year-round. The drinks stay cold, the BBQ is ready when you are, and the space is set up for simple, laid-back living.

House Information & Guidelines

Location & Neighborhood

Casa Luna is located within the Caleta HOA, a quiet and very secure community of approximately 60 homes. There are several convenient beach access points nearby.

Golf Cart Use

A golf cart is available for your use.

  • Allowed: Neighborhood roads and the designated golf cart path toward the beach

  • Not allowed: Main highway or driving off paved roads or golf paths -- no sand

The House Layout

Casa Luna is a three-story home of approximately 4,500 square feet.

  • Top Floor: Private primary suite with a spacious bedroom, his-and-hers bathrooms, and a comfortable sitting area.

  • Main Floor: A recently remodeled bedroom with a new bathroom. A former walk-in closet has been converted into a bunkroom, which works well for children.

  • Lower Level: Functions almost like a separate apartment, with a living area, lounge chairs, refrigerator, flat-screen TV, and two bedrooms.

Internet & Entertainment

  • Fiber-optic internet with a UniFi Wi-Fi system provides fast, reliable coverage throughout the house.

  • All TVs include complimentary Netflix and YouTube.

  • Live sports and special events (e.g., the Super Bowl) are best enjoyed at local sports bars in town.

Pool & Hot Tub

  • Pool temperature is typically set to around 85°F.

  • Hot tub temperature is typically 101–104°F.

  • Marlene can adjust temperatures as needed.

  • The surrounding surface is a new non-slip hard finish; please note it can stain from items such as red wine.

Safety Notes

  • There is no safety fence around the pool or hot tub.

  • Some surrounding walls are climbable.

  • Close supervision is required for young children, and the property may not be suitable for unsupervised little ones.

Gatherings & Noise

Small gatherings are welcome. Please be mindful of neighbors, especially after 10:00 p.m.

  • Community guards will issue a warning if noise levels are excessive.

  • Fines may follow and will be passed on to guests if incurred.

Concierge & Services

Guests often request private chefs, bartenders, massage services, and other experiences.
Marlene is your primary contact and can help arrange all of these.

Housekeeping & Tipping

Coyo takes wonderful care of Casa Luna. Tipping is appreciated but not required.

  • As a guideline, MX$500 pesos per day for typical personal use is customary.

  • Please feel free to adjust based on the length and nature of your stay.
    Your kindness is truly appreciated.
